Hung at varying heights from the 30-foot-high ceiling, the lights appeared to comprise a singular, starrynight sky — a incandescent showcase of craftsmanship and artistry increasingly at risk in today's always-on mechanized world.

The form and make of each light was further heightened by the exhibition’s unmistakable Tribeca location: the historic New York Mercantile Exchange, completed in 1886 and designed by Thomas R. Jackson, who also designed the Guild’s Howard Street address.
