A sculpture of a candlestick, the Lily springs eternal in solid bronze. The upward stretching botanical forms found in Roman and Williams Guild co-founders Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch’s Montauk garden played the muse for their hand-sculpted wax model, featuring three legs and serenely unfurling leaves. Standefer and Alesch worked with a generations-old, family-owned foundry in Brooklyn to match their biomorphic model in a mold, and then cast it in solid bronze to create a meadow for the table. Use with a ½” diameter Taper Candle.
Each piece is individually handmade, and natural variations in color, texture, and finish are to be expected and celebrated.
About the Designers
Stephen Alesch and Robin Standefer are the founders and principals of Roman and Williams, Roman and Williams Guild, La Mercerie, and Guild Gallery. In addition to finding and assembling the world’s most prodigious artists for their modern guild of the senses, the husband-and-wife team prolifically makes, creates, and leads. In their work, nature serves as a timeless source of inspiration for the future of how we live.
