As featured in The New York Times.
Inspired by tall, slender reed grass, RW Guild co-founder Stephen Alesch first developed our popular Reed Candlestick in wood on the lathe in his workshop as a gift for Robin. She has grown them into a metallic meadow for your table with eight varying heights and three metal finishes. The Reed is made of solid brass, which is turned on a metal lathe and then hand-finished in workshops. Designed to combine with our other candleholders in a gentle riot of glint, the Reeds bring the rich diversity of a metal garden for year-round enjoyment.
Available in Burnished or Blackened Brass, and Silver.

About the Designers
Stephen Alesch and Robin Standefer are the founders and principals of Roman and Williams, Roman and Williams Guild, La Mercerie, and Guild Gallery. In addition to finding and assembling the world’s most prodigious artists for their modern guild of the senses, the husband-and-wife team prolifically makes, creates, and leads. In their work, nature serves as a timeless source of inspiration for the future of how we live.

Strength and beauty: Wavering reed grass was the inspiration for this slender, elegant candlestick.

Sculptural bevels are chiseled from solid brass on a spinning lathe, and a well at the base catches wax.

Designed in eight different heights, Reeds dance across the table in a metallic meadow.

Tall and statuesque, the Reed Candlestick brings a sense of serenity to an interior.
