Keiko Lee
Osaka, Japan

In 1998, Keiko Lee began learning glass at the Baltic Workshop in Aichi and within 5 years opened her own glass studio "Ha-Na" in Osaka.  Keiko Lee works every day, quietly, in intense heat.  For to make glass, the sand needs to be at least 3200°F.  Making each piece by hand herself, she views both air-blown and mold-formed glass as part of a singular process. In the unity of technique, all works are distinctively hers, and there will never quite be two of the same piece.
