Launched in 2009 by Chinar Farooqui, Injiri is devoted to using local artisan techniques and wisdom to create pieces that exudes nostalgia and reintroduces the beauty and potential of slow fashion.  The name “in-jee-ree” translates the idea of Indian textiles being prized possessions of people all over the world.

"Being a student of textiles, I love the hand-loom.  It's more about celebrating the entire process of hand-weaving - and the pieces are actually little stories about the textiles they are made of."
