Hitoshi Kato is a second-generation ceramist working out of one of the most famous regions of Japan for pottery. Hitoshi lives above a clay basin. He digs up clay himself to create his one of a kind ceramics. This collection features Shinogi patterns which are created by scraping half fired clay prior to glazing. This process adds texture and depth to your table and turning an ordinary meal into the extraordinary.
