Dylan Bowen
Oxfordshire, England

Dylan Bowen’s work receives acclaim from Britain’s top galleries, which is no easy task considering the rich history of English Ceramics.  On top of that, Dylan had to come out of the shadows of his father (Clive Bowen) and great-grandfather (Bernard Leach), and he certainly has found his style.  Action slipware, abstract, architectural, three dimensional, these are just a few words to describe the freedom Dylan has found in his work.  His earthenware is wheel-thrown, altered or handbuilt with black, white or green slip, clear or honey glaze fired in an electric kiln.  He’s most at home in his studio he shares with his wife, Jane.
