Ron Boyd Grapevine Napkin Ring, Bronze

BY  Jack Boyd Studio

$975 USD

The Grapevine Napkin Ring is handmade in the Jack Boyd Art Studio, located in Poway, California, which is now run by Jack’s son Ron, who learned the fine art of metal sculpting and hand-forged jewelry design from his father. Ron first produced a Grapevine jewelry collection inspired by vineyards of grapevines in Napa Valley, California. In an exclusive collaboration with RW Guild, the popular Grapevine jewelry collection has now evolved into jewelry for the table – the Grapevine Napkin Ring available in sterling silver or bronze.

About Jack Boyd Studio

Sculptor, artist and jeweler Jack Boyd started his art studio in the 1950s, and at the age of five his son Ron began to hammer and solder metal alongside his father. Ron learned the fine art of metal sculpting and hand-forged jewelry design, and today he and his wife Lynn continue the Jack Boyd Art Studio in Poway, California. Working with his father’s anvil and tools, Ron follows the methods that his father practiced, including a process that involves sketching, then moves to wax models, and finally to hand-forging and casting. Inspired by the nature of southern California, Ron finds enjoyment in the slow process of hand-forging and creating one-of-a-kind pieces. “I have endless design ideas,” says Ron.  “There are not enough hours in the day.”
