Woodrum is our collection of hearty, anti-delicate light fixtures – a desk lamp, pendant, sconce and chandelier – hand crafted domestically using specially sourced hardwoods. The poised wooden shades seem to be perfect cylinders, but are in fact gently tapered and fashioned on a lathe, exercising an architectural sleight of hand that has been employed across cultures since ancient times. Brass accents are deliberately diminutive yet sartorial, from the pins set around the base to the pull chain (on the sconce and desk lamp) that activates the light, which wafts through thin lines routed into the shade. In configurations of 4, 6 or 8 shades.
