Crafted by hand in a Brooklyn workshop by a French master upholsterer, the made-to-order French Mattress offers elegant comfort. In the French tradition, this RW Guild Original Design is hand-tufted along the sides and top, which prevents sinking, sagging and losing its shape. Top tufting is available in two tufted patterns – grid and diamond – and features a classic pulled thread detail, which is a fine French stitch technique. The French Mattress is filled with a soft, custom latex core for superior comfort and durability, and 100% wool batting.


Choose from a range of fine RW Guild Original Designs upholstery options. The French Mattress is offered in suede and hides, linen, wool, and short pile velvet. Careful detail is applied to every stitch, ensuring a truly exceptional finish. Click to view the Fabric Catalogue.
