Teneresque Credenza
Starting at $29,000 USD
Following in the tradition of artists like Gauguin who made elaborately carved furniture, we have created a collection of pieces that are inspired by primitive furniture. Teneresque is the cumulation of our obsessions with the nexus where sculpture and furniture meet. RW Guild co-founder Stephen Alesch began by sketching a Chambeyronia macrocarpa, a red leaf palm. The drawing was sent to the Croatian artisan Vedran Jakšić, who interpreted the vision into its exquisite, graceful, carved facade. Vedran Jakšić continues to hand carve the front of each piece made to order. The Credenza is then fully built in our workshop in Pennsylvania. Nine dove-tailed drawers open smoothly with finger pulls. Characteristic, canted hooves gracefully meet the ground.
