The mountains of Norway have had a profound influence on Gurli.  From her workshop in Copenhagen, she recalls the shades and shapes of nature she witnessed there with her pottery and glazes, whether it’s the different hues of moss or patterns of a stone.  Teapots are her forte but her range is wide, unique and utilitarian, sensual and supernatural, she brings Japanese minimalism in harmony with Scandinavian functionality.
