Go Takagi

Born in 1978 in Kagoshima, Go Takagi has loved drawing and making things since he was a child.  He began studying pottery in 1998 after working in a gallery in Tokyo after graduating from high school.  Now he lives in the mountains of Kyoto, using an ancient technique from the early period of the Yi Dynasty in Korea (1450-1750) to create his ceramics.  His workshop is in the midst of nature, surrounded by trees, which he makes oolong tea from and a creek he listens to keenly, all of this results in a transference of nature to his work.
