Axil Pendant
Starting at $15,000 USD
The Axil Pendant, a Roman and Williams Guild Original Design, a new sleek form in a sweeping 24” breadth to the collection of pendants by founders Stephen Alesch and Robin Standefer. The Axil Pendant defines a new direction for the convergence of brass and glass, housing the four graduated diffusers within a geometric, sharply refined metal frame evocative of Machine Age language.
Named for the angular joint where a flower’s shoot and leaf meet, high-touch finishes are found in features such as the shade’s rolled edge, revealing the work of the expert artisan in a 150-year-old French workshop. To accommodate the Axil’s expansive diameter, a fourth glass diffuser has been added, unfurling in the interior like a flower—each blown, shaped, and polished by hand with exceptional care in New York.
Designed to be displayed individually or in concert, the Axil’s contrasting inspirations of nature and industry, man and machine, glass and metal coalesce into a beautiful, atmospheric glow.
Please note that lighting exceeding 36” in height is made with multi-piece stems, where slim seams may be visible.
