Balancing on the fulcrum of form and function, Yuki handcrafts her glassworks by phases of blowing, grinding, cutting and burning the glass in a kiln; achieving her geometry with trial and error. Whether frosted like a misty morning or transparent, there’s an attention to detail that reveals exquisite gradients of texture. Yuki constantly studies, gaining a deeper understanding of the material she uses, experiencing the feeling that the glass is breathing back to her during her work.
