Ceramicist Robynn Storgaard is originally from Canada and worked as an architectural designer before settling in Copenhagen where she handcrafts ceramic pieces in small batches in her studio. Her elegant pieces, made from locally and sustainable sourced materials, reject ornamentation in favor of simple carved or fluted linear patterning and muted glazes, and are often inspired by objects in the background of paintings of the past. Storgaard celebrates slow living and conscious consumption, producing objects that are intended to be treasured. As she says, her work is made “for the sake of keeping.”
