About Jun Tsunoda

Jun Tsunoda was born in 1975 in the Kyushu region of Japan. When she became interested in ceramics, she went to study with Master Tazawa in the historic town of Hasami in the Arita region, the birthplace of porcelain with 400 years of history. After learning from Master Tazawa for three years, she continued to follow her passion, traveling to various ceramic regions, including Mashiko, Seto, and Okinawa among others, before deciding to move to Tokoname in Aichi Prefecture. There she began finding her voice in her work and established her own kiln. Now Jun lives with her husband, who is also a ceramist, and their son in the Kyushu region near their family.
