Trained in Korea and the United States, glass artisan Hyunsung Cho hand blows delicate, beautifully shaped goblets, glasses and vases in his studio in Seoul, Korea. Cho focuses on creating a silhouette in which tension and balance coexist through bold and simple form. Recalling the wonder of nature, the cups and stems of his graceful goblets evoke spring flowers that sprout from seeds after winter. His striking Veronese vase is inspired by the glass object that appears in a 16th-century painting by Italian Renaissance painter Paulo Veronese. The artisan has had exhibitions in Korea and the United States, and has been honored with a “Best in Show” at BIGG: Breakthrough Ideas in Global Glass sponsored by Steuben Glass.

$560 USD
The Cocktail Glass is handblown by glass artisan Hyunsung Cho who creates delicately shaped glassware in his studio in Seoul, Korea. Recalling the wonder of nature, the cups and stems of his graceful glasses evoke spring flowers that sprout from seeds after winter. Cho uses crushed colored glass and very thin gold leaf to decorate the unique and beautifully shaped stems of his glassware. For each glass, Cho hand blows the cup, the stem, and the foot, and then puts the three parts together to create glassware that is a lasting treasure.
