Nantucket Counterweight Pendant
Starting at $6,100 USD
Minimalist and refined, the Nantucket Counterweight Pendant combines hand-woven linen and hand-spun brass into a stately, tailored fixture that captures the allure of coastal living.
Designed by Stephen Alesch and Robin Standefer, the Nantucket casts a soft, warm glow in every direction. Its stem, fitter, and counterweight are made of solid brass alloy hand-spun by master metalsmiths at a multi-generational, family-owned foundry in Paris. Its fine, woven linen drum shade is hand-sewn in a French workroom, as is the passementerie that girds its edges.
Stephen Alesch and Robin Standefer’s Roman and Williams Guild Original Designs are each branded with our insignia and delivered with a Certificate of Authenticity.
About the Designers
Stephen Alesch and Robin Standefer are the founders and principals of Roman and Williams, Roman and Williams Guild, La Mercerie, and Guild Gallery. In addition to finding and assembling the world’s most prodigious artists for their modern guild of the senses, the husband-and-wife team prolifically makes, creates, and leads. In their work, nature serves as a timeless source of inspiration for the future of how we live.
Nantucket’s linen fabric shade is edged with passementerie and hand-sewn in France.
A handcrafted counterweight on a pulley system works to easily adjust the height of the pendant.
Nantucket is available with or without a counterweight, and as an all-metal design in a choice of seven finishes.
Everything, down to the custom metal screws, is made by hand.
