Born in 1978 in Kagoshima, Go Takagi has loved drawing and making things since he was a child. He began studying pottery in 1998 after graduating from high school and working in a gallery. Now he lives in the mountains of Kyoto, using an ancient technique from the early period of the Yi Dynasty in Korea (1450-1750) to create his ceramics. His workshop is in the midst of nature surrounded by trees, which he makes oolong tea from, and a creek that he listens to keenly. Nature is his inspiration.
