Marked by its broad, graceful hood, the Oscar Torchiere Floor Lamp is made entirely of solid brass alloy, master metalsmiths at a multi-generational, family-owned foundry in Paris, more than 150 years old. A brass shade diffuses the light from the fixture, casting a soft, flattering indirect glow. For guaranteed stability, the Torchiere’s stem is stepped, and its thick, substantial base is weighted. The Torchiere’s every detail is carefully considered, from the subtle fluting that adorns its fitter and coin-edge screws to the slender, hand-rolled lip that runs along the edge of its hood and diffuser for uncompromising beauty from every possible angle.
