Ann-Charlotte Ohlsson
Bornholm, Denmark

From the Cassius Clay community, Ann-Charlotte Ohlsson focuses on form and surface.  Her drive is to explore the ideas of her mind.  With an intriguing background working in the fields of elderly and psychiatric care, she began studying sculpture, glass, and ceramics at age 33.  Ceramics became her material, where she does everything by hand - coiling, slab building, pinching or using a simple mold made of a cardboard box.  The excitement of seeing her work come out a wood-fired kiln sends her back to the studio to work with new materials and ideas.
