What is the touchstone of your life?  For Melissa Goldstein, it’s ceramics.  Clay has been the thread of her life, drawing through her fine art and functional wares. Goldstein’s animated porcelain-  truly sculpture for the table - creates movement and dimension.  We love watching her birds fly across the table. Goldstein draws inspiration from 1600s German botanical drawings, Japanese woodblocks and her own lush floral garden in Brooklyn. Firing at a heat just right for pulling out the minerals of the clay and fusing her cobalt drawings to them like tattoos.
